Creating a Course Using Doc
Creating a Course Using Document Upload
CircleHD allows administrators to create a course using an existing document as the source content. The uploaded document is used to generate the course structure, units, lessons, and learning activities.
The course configuration flow after document upload is similar to Creating a Course Using AI.
Step 1: Navigate to Courses Go to Learning from the main navigation. Select Courses. From the top-right corner, select the option to create a course using AI/document. Step 2: Select Course Using Document
On the course creation screen, select the Course Using Doc option.
This option allows you to create a course by uploading an existing document instead of providing a course prompt.
Step 3: Upload the Document
Upload the document that contains the learning material you want to convert into a course.
The document should contain relevant information related to the course topic.
After uploading the document, provide the required course information, such as:
Course Title Description Business Unit Department Job Role Skills
Review the entered information and uploaded document before proceeding.
Step 4: Create the Course
Select Create Course to start the course generation process.
CircleHD processes the uploaded document and generates the course content.
After the course is generated, the course configuration screen opens with three sections:
About Lessons Assignments About
The About section is selected by default.
You can review and configure the main course information, including:
Course Thumbnail Course Description All the units must be completed in order Course Objective Badges Business Unit Department Job Role Duration in Hours Tags Course Owner Offer Certificate Of Completion Certificate Expiry Duration Course Thumbnail
The system provides a default course thumbnail. You can manually change the thumbnail if required.

Certificate of Completion
Enable Offer Certificate Of Completion if learners should receive a certificate after completing the course.
When certificate expiry is required, enable Enable Certificate Expiry Duration and configure the available expiry option.
After reviewing the About section, save the course details.
Lessons
The Lessons section contains the units and learning activities generated from the uploaded document.
You can review the generated content and add or configure additional learning activities.
Add Unit
Select Add Unit to create a new unit.
Units can contain different content types:

Select the Assignments section to configure the assignment-related content for the course.
Review the available assignment configuration and make the required changes before finalizing the course.
Document Upload vs. AI Prompt
The overall course configuration process is the same for both options. The primary difference is how the course content is provided.
Course Using AI Course Using Document Admin provides a course prompt/description Admin uploads a document AI generates content based on the prompt AI generates content based on the uploaded document Useful for creating a course from a topic or idea Useful when existing learning material is available Course configuration includes About, Lessons, and Assignments Course configuration includes About, Lessons, and Assignments Units and quiz types are the same Units and quiz types are the same Important Note
The About, Lessons, Assignments, Unit, Content Type, and Quiz configuration remain the same as the AI Course Creation flow.
The main difference is:
Course Using AI → Enter a prompt → Generate Course
Course Using Document → Upload a document → Generate Course
Pro Tip: Always review the generated course after document processing to ensure that the course content accurately reflects the uploaded document and meets the intended learning objectives.
